Terms of Service

Woof Radar is a free, non-profit, community-run map for animal welfare in Funchal, Madeira. By creating an account or filing a report you agree to these terms.

Woof Radar documents patterns; it does not dispatch help. If an animal or person is in immediate danger, contact the authorities directly — the app surfaces the relevant numbers (municipal kennel, GNR/SEPNA) where appropriate.

When you contribute, you agree to:

• report honestly — no fabricated or retaliatory reports;
• never include exact addresses, names, or anything identifying a person or specific property in notes or photos — the platform is about patterns, not neighbours;
• upload only photos you took and that are relevant;
• not spam likes, flags, reports, or applications;
• submit truthful information and genuine documents in listing applications.

Moderators may edit visibility of, reject, or remove any content, and suspend accounts that break these rules.

You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant Woof Radar a non-exclusive right to display it in the app and to include it — in approximate, pseudonymised form — in aggregated datasets shared with animal-welfare organisations and public services, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Trainer and organisation listings are provided as community information, verified on a best-effort basis. A listing is not an endorsement, and Woof Radar is not a party to any relationship between you and a listed provider.

The service is provided as-is, by volunteers, without warranties of any kind. Reports are community observations, not verified facts. To the extent permitted by law, Woof Radar and its contributors are not liable for damages arising from use of the service or reliance on its content.

We may change or discontinue the service, and update these terms, at any time; continued use means acceptance. We may remove content or accounts that violate these terms or the law.

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal.
